Our road side stand kicked off the 2011 season late this year as the Asparagus spears started shooting up in late April.  So far we have had much rain and it has been colder than last year.  The Asparagus crop has been very good despite the rain and cold.  Peaches and Blackberries were in nicely this year.  We made many peach pies.  We also made 30 or so jars for Peach and Blackbery jam.   

The 2011 season will find Gunn Creek farm toning down the amount that we produce.  It is time to start enjoying life and taking it a bit slower
